From the very best parcels and selected several times in the vineyard and again raisin by raisin in the cellar, the golden-yellow colored 2021 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese (Gold Capsule) is super clear, even fresh and beautifully aromatic on the concentrated and defined nose that reveals apricot and peach as well as floral and spicy slate aromas. This TBA has even more definition than the Hubertuslay Eiswein, although this TBA is based on perfectly dried botrytis raisins. On the palate, this is a concentrated, lush and viscous but also refined, highly delicate TBA with fine grip, mineral tension and stimulating precision. A memorable TBA. 7% stated alcohol. Natural cork.
