Monrose 2020

Rosé made from 100% Nebbiolo from the Italian Alps – Valtellina. Mamete Prevostini’s rosé wine “Rosen från bergen” from the top vintage 2020. 2020 is a very good vintage that delivers fine acidity, fresh and lively fruit. The taste is made for lazy summer days but has enough structure to match both fish dishes and grilled lamb. Monrose displays a beautiful pink color and aroma and taste offer an oasis of wild raspberry, apricot, roses and refreshing minerality. The total annual production is only 11,500 bottles. Monrose is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes that grow 350-650 meters above sea level in the south facing village of Sondrio in the Valtellina alpine valley. The harvest takes place during the first half of October and then the grapes are carefully pressed and poured into stainless steel barrels for a 15-hour maceration before fermentation and bottling. Drink in 2022 – 2023.
